Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

Dreamy Irène

Dreamy Irène

There is something about autumn and early winter that instills calm and inspires this little girl to dream. She loves long walks in the brisk chill air when the leaves crunch underneath her feet. The light those days is usually the loveliest, so soft, so dreamy. In the evenings, she loves to jump into her bed and pull the blanket up around her rosy cheeks as her mother settles back with a book. And Irène can listen for hours…. and dream …

Irène is a natural fiber art doll, which measures a little over 15”. She is weighted with a lovely marble stone in her belly, made with Swiss jersey, and stuffed very firmly with organic wool. Her hair is beautiful goat locks and mohair/silk fiber. She is able to bend her knees and take natural poses. The face is needle-felted, the freckles hand-painted, and her brown eyes are embroidered.

Irène comes wearing her favorite cotton dress with a cotton batiste underskirt, tights, a hand-knitted cashmere cardigan, and a pair of mohair/silk mary-janes.

Irène is a collectible doll, she needs to be handled with love and care.
