Full 2-day Dollmaking Workshop - Zandpol, Netherlands, October 10-11

Full 2-day Dollmaking Workshop - Zandpol, Netherlands, October 10-11

$116.00

This 2-day workshop combines all of the foundational dollmaking techniques into one complete learning experience. Each technique is also offered as a standalone session (listed separately), so you're welcome to register for individual topics or immerse yourself in the complete workshop.

Instead of rushing to finish an entire doll over the weekend, we'll focus on developing the core skills that make dollmaking both enjoyable and rewarding. You'll leave with a strong understanding of the process, practical hands-on experience, and the confidence to complete your doll at home. This creates a more relaxed and enjoyable pace, allowing time to focus deeply on each technique.

This class will teach you how to:

  • Sculpt a firm, durable head and shape all the facial features - jaw, chin, cheeks, nose, and lips - using needle felting.

  • Design, place, and embroider expressive, symmetrical eyes and eyelashes.

  • Construct and evenly stuff beautifully shaped doll legs that hold their form while bending naturally at the knee for a relaxed sitting position -without using beads or internal hinges.

  • Build a beautifully balanced doll torso with sculpted, supportive shoulders that maintain the tension of the skin fabric and securely hold the arms in place, then finish it with charming details such as a smooth little bum and a delicate belly button.

  • Attach the legs to the body so the doll can sit upright on its own without additional support, and attach the arms so they hang naturally and move freely at the sides.
