Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

Petite Anwen Rose

Petite Anwen Rose

There is always something quietly magical in the way a doll comes into being. Long before she is born, I can already imagine her - the colors she might wear, the small wardrobe prepared for her, even a hint of her character. Yet when the moment arrives, she often chooses differently. Somehow she decides for herself what she will wear, how her hair will fall, and who she wishes to become. The image I once conjured up gently shifts, and a new personality appears.

This delicate little girl carries the quiet mood of early spring - thoughtful, observant, and slightly windswept. Her softly-sculpted face, dusted with faint freckles and framed by calm brown eyes, holds a tender seriousness that invites a second look. There is something reflective in her expression, as if she has just returned from a quiet walk through the still-cool air of a changing season.

In my imagination she loves wandering along quiet streets that were only recently covered with snow, slipping into small bookstores or pausing in front of flower shop windows. She confided that she loves the whispering of the wind and the closeness of nature, and would not mind leaving the city for a gentler life in the suburbs. Yet in truth what matters most to her is simpler: to find a loving and understanding mother with whom she can dream.

Anwen Rose is 10 inches tall, but she carries a big heart and a passionate soul. Her body is made from Swiss cotton and filled with organic wool.

Her clothing has been created with the same quiet attention to detail. She wears a long-sleeve blouse and an underskirt - both made from very soft cotton batiste and adorned with beautiful French vintage lace. Over them she wears a delicate tulle skirt and a hand-knit sweater in warm oatmeal tones. Her outfit is completed with brown cotton tights, wool-and-silk crocheted Mary Janes, and a linen scarf wrapped gently at her neck, as if she has just come in from a cool afternoon walk.

Her long brown hair, made from beautiful goat locks, falls in loose natural waves, slightly tousled and full of storybook charm.

Her expression is gentle yet full of depth. She is a companion for quiet moments, created slowly and with care, holding warmth in every stitch.

Thank you for taking a moment to meet petite Anwen Rose. If she has found her way into your heart, she can be found HERE.
