Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

Miss Sunshine - Amandine

Miss Sunshine - Amandine

It was early morning in the countryside, the sunlight just started to peek into the room covering everything with a soft buttery light, and birds were chirping their song in the trees.

She was standing in the doorway with a branch of blooming almond tree and burying her nose in blossoms. Her bright eyes and sunny smile cheered my heart.

I asked her what her name was, and she answered smiling, ‘mama calls me ‘Amandine’.

Will you dance with me tonight, Amandine?

Amandine is a natural fiber art doll about 17” tall. She has been made with Swiss jersey and stuffed very firmly with organic wool. She has an armature in her neck that allows her to slightly tilt the head. Her hair is made with beautiful Alpaca locks, that have been wefted and crocheted into the wig with silk and mohair Italian yarn, the face is needle-felted, the freckles hand-painted, and her brown eyes are embroidered.

Amandine will come wearing a cotton batiste dress and bloomers, lace stockings, velvet Mary-Jane shoes, and a humble floral headband, which looks so lovely with her long beautiful hair.

And as the evening twilight fades away, this little girl likes to wear a slightly fancier dress - a dress of navy silk velvet with ostrich feathers in the front, and an elegant choker of perfectly cut little stone circling her neck.

Amandine is a collectible doll, she needs to be handled with love and care.

Thank you for visiting!
