There once was a redheaded girl named Roux...

This is Roux! She was born when the sun was setting, giving way to the moon. And the beautiful colors of her hair took on the red and orange hues of the setting sun.

So here she is, a strong-willed girl, born to do great things. She loves nothing more than exploring the world around her and living life to the fullest with every step she takes.

Roux is a 16” tall natural fiber art doll, made as a custom order. She is weighted with a sun-kissed stone from the Mediterranean sea and has the body proportions of a 6-7 years old girl. Her skin is made of Swiss jersey and she is stuffed very firmly with organic wool.

Roux has a sturdy armature running through her neck, that allows her head to move subtly from side to side and up and down. Her face is needle-felted and her eyes embroidered. She has a few freckles and tiny ears. Her long hair is beautiful Teeswater locks, that I wefted and then crocheted into a mohair wig.

Roux comes wearing a lovely Liberty of London short-sleeve dress, a pair of linen underpants, a cotton batiste petticoat, cotton socks, and a silky-soft hand-knitted baby alpaca cardigan. Her shoes are crafted with beautiful silk/wool fabric and keep her feet comfortable on all her adventures. And of course her favorite hat to complete the ensemble!
