Hello!

I like to think of the art of doll-making as inspiring and calming. I fill each doll I make with love, and hope that this loving energy will carry through to the people who bring my dolls into their families. Welcome to my journal, where I share my creative adventures. Hope you have a pleasant stay!

Willow - a summer girl

Willow - a summer girl

Willow is like a little ray of sunshine - always happy and bright. Born in this strange time of isolation and uncertainty, she nevertheless seems untouched by the craziness of the world. She was inspired by the warm, lazy summer days and is dressed in the colors of flowering gardens. She is full of wonder and childish innocence. Gathering flowers makes her happy. She sniffs them and giggles, as the petals tickle her nose.

Willow is a natural fiber art doll, a little over 16 inches. She’s made with Swiss cotton and stuffed firmly with organic wool. She has a needle-felted face, embroidered blue eyes, and painted freckles spilled across the nose and cheeks. She has copper-red hair surrounding her face like a firestorm. This is goat mohair locks, washed and wefted by me, and then crocheted into a wool wig. She has wee little knees, a bum, and cute ears.

Willow will come wearing a bright floral skirt made with Liberty of London cotton jersey, a linen blouse with a snap closure on the back, a pair of cotton underpants, socks, and corduroy booties. (The bicycle is not included in the listing).

Willow will be waiting for you on Sunday, June 28th at 12 p.m. EST. If you would like to give this little one home, please follow this link.

Due to small parts, Willow is suitable for an adult collector or an older child 8+.

Thank you for coming!
